Our Pontypridd store opening caused quite a buzz in town with more than 100 locals queuing up to get in the door at 10am.
Before the store opened we ran a competition for a local person to become the store’s Face of PEP&CO – with mum, Meryem Davies, from Pontypridd, unveiled as the winner.
Store manager Kayleigh Lester, said: “We had an excellent opening morning, with a crowd of locals waiting to get inside our store as soon we opened our doors at 10am.
The move into Pontypridd comes after 30,000 people voted for PEP&CO to open in places they love, after featuring on our own six-part network prime-time ITV1 series, Bargain Shop Wars.
The new store has simple low pricing on women’s, men’s and children’s fashion ranges such as £3 leggings, £1 baby bodysuits and £1 school polo shirts, an offer that’s hard to find on secondary high streets like Pontypridd.
Over the opening weekend there was lots of activity happening and prizes to be won for the first 50 people! Golden ticket’s were being given out and one lucky lady won a £50 voucher to spend in the new store!
Pontypridd is PEP&CO’s fourth Welsh store and will be one of over 30 new stores to open over the next 12 months… So keep an eye out, there could be a new PEP&CO store coming to a town near you 😉
